Bourgeois Boheme AW16 Petra Vegan Brogue Boot BlackBourgeois Boheme was founded in 2005 by ex-Podiatrist and long-term vegan Alicia. With a love for shoes, and unable to find high quality and high style animal-friendly footwear, Alicia developed her own brand. She moved to London and merged her foot care expertise with her vegan values to create luxury animal-free footwear.  Not interested in creating just another shoe brand, she has remained true to her founding principles to create perfect vegan shoes without ever compromising on quality, finish or design.  All BB shoes are Vegan Society trademarked and PETA approved.Bourgeois Boheme AW16 Petra Vegan Brogue Boot Burgundy

Today, Bourgeois Boheme is one of the most established vegan footwear brands out there, still small and independent – as they like it – still making beautiful and versatile shoes completely free from animal-derived materials. The timeless, brand-exclusive styles they produce are all artisan-made under ethical conditions in Portugal from the finest eco-friendly Italian vegan leathers.  They believe that a good vegan shoe should be about more than just excluding animal materials – a design that stands the test of time is essential – and therefore they work tirelessly to champion slow fashion through updated British shoe classics that challenge the perception of leather-free footwear.  The brand’s increasing fan base includes vegan celebs such as Natalie Portman, Bryan Adams and Torrey DeVitto.

The Hetty Rose label makes shoes.  Makes them by hand.  Specializing in bespoke, hand-crafted footwear, Hetty Rose creates shoes re-using and re-working vintage materials in a creative and sustainable way, hand making gorgeous, feminine shoes to fit the wearer, well…. like a glove.

These materials are primarily vintage Japanese kimono fabrics: relics of a disappearing world, saturated in significance and hidden meanings.  The colours and folds signify various seasons, occasion, status and personal taste of the wearer.  The designer hand selects the most exquisite antique fabrics to use as uppers for shoes to create unique handmade footwear.

The designs are simple, yet provocative, designed to make the foot appear more attractive. The collaboration of colours, materials, service and directional design result in unique, wearable footwear.  Hetty Rose exhibited the latest shoe designs at the London Fashion Lounge at the Trafalgar Hotel during London Fashion Week and wowed the editors and press with the high quality, and creative designs and exacting detail in each shoe.  Hetty Rose shoes were featured in the windows of the Trafalgar Hotel during a month long presentation of the participants in the Fashion Lounge.
